London Family Photographer: Aren't Women Amazing?!
Happy Friday one and all! How did it get to September already?!
While we all get back into our routines now the children are back at school (maybe for some of you they’re settling in at the moment, in which case hope it’s all going well!) I’ve decided to use this blog to do a bit more celebrating! It occurred to me that we are all rushing around at a million miles an hour, we juggle so much and put everyone else first, but what about taking a moment to celebrate what we are achieving for a minute?!
A little while ago I spent a morning down in Fulham with this glorious family, a London family photography session to document the arrival of baby number 4, a little girl and baby sister to three older brothers (you can see the full blog post here). Today, this Mum is celebrating eighteen years of motherhood, as her oldest child becomes an adult. WHAT AN ACHIEVEMENT! In the eighteen years since her first born came into the world, she has graduated from Oxford University, become a high flying City lawyer, had 3 more children and is juggling everything from nappies to A Levels to boardroom meetings without even breaking a sweat. Superwoman much?!
She says she blinked and her baby became a grown up, which I guess is how we’ll all feel in the end. So today I’m taking a moment for all of us who are juggling and mothering and working super hard, giving us all a virtual pat on the back and saying WELL DONE! Because I really do think this is something to celebrate.
Here are a few of my favourite images of this wonderful lady from her daughter’s newborn session - the love is just pouring out of her, don’t you think!?
If you feel like time is whizzing past and would like to book in a session with me to capture some beautiful moments with your children, I would be delighted to hear from you!
